Who We Are
About Us – Paws and Hearts of Germantown
At Paws and Hearts of Germantown, we believe that caring for animals is not simply a service, but a calling. For us, this business is deeply personal. Over the years, we have opened our home and hearts to senior and special-needs dogs, giving them the love, patience, and dignity they deserved in their later years. While we do not currently have dogs of our own, that absence only deepens our joy in hearing the pitter-patter of little paws once more, reminding us daily why this work is so meaningful. Together, we bring more than thirty years of combined experience in animal care. My own journey began in childhood and continued into formal study with Veterinary Assistant training in 1998, providing a strong foundation in health, safety, and attentive care. Coupled with my wife’s lifelong devotion to animals, our shared background ensures that every dog entrusted to us receives the balance of professional expertise and heartfelt affection. Paws and Hearts was built from love, trust, and respect for the bond between people and their pets. It is our privilege to create a safe, welcoming space where dogs are treated as family, and where owners find peace of mind knowing their companions are in gentle, dependable hands.
Meet the Founders
We Are Travis and Cecilia!
Paws and Hearts of Germantown was founded by Travis C.B. Weaver, whose lifelong devotion to animals shaped the vision for this business. Together with his wife, Cecília, who brings a gentle and nurturing presence to the daily care of pets, Travis has created a home-like environment where dogs are treated as family. Their history of welcoming senior and special-needs dogs makes this work deeply personal—a true labor of love.
Our Team
One Family, One Purpose!
At Paws and Hearts of Germantown, we believe it takes a devoted team to create true comfort and peace of mind for families and their pets. Every member of our team shares the same passion—ensuring that dogs feel loved, safe, and at home while in our care. From our dependable dog walkers, who bring energy and kindness to every visit, to the trusted hands of Veterinary Referral Associates—our go-to hospital for emergencies—we have built a circle of care designed to ease the hearts of both pets and their people. Together, we provide more than a service. We create a sense of community, where families know their companions are not only well cared for but genuinely cherished. It is this blend of dedication, warmth, and trusted support that makes Paws and Hearts a place where tails wag, families relax, and peace of mind becomes part of the experience.

Veterinary Referral Associates
Veterinarian
While Paws and Hearts of Germantown is not directly affiliated with any veterinary practice, we take the health and safety of every dog in our care very seriously. In the event of an incident or a medical issue requiring professional attention, we turn to Veterinary Referral Associates in Gaithersburg, Maryland, for emergency services, unless a family has specified their own preferred veterinarian.
